Answering Your Questions Re: Starting a New Career at 40

Dear friends,

Wow wow wow! I am in awe of gratitude for all of you that sent me emails, text messages and DMs on social. The response of love and support that I received in regards to my last Zen Diary entry Starting a New Career at 40, was record-breaking!  Many of you have sent me questions about my memoir, about my manifestation yogic technique, and about my upcoming Yoga Retreat E M B O D Y.  I will gladly answer all your questions below.

Where can I practice Manifest Your Dreams yoga techniques?

The best way to invoke your innate powers of manifestation is to dedicate your time, your energy and all of your senses to your specific intention, this thing that you are wanting to manifest. That is why yoga retreats are powerful in nature. When you leave your familiar environment, your responsibilities, and all external triggers that drain your energy and keep you stuck, it's like hitting the reset button. You are able to focus on one thing and one thing only. You also have the support of the people around you, your retreat community, and the powerful force of shared intention. So you literally use the energy of the people around you to elevate your frequency to a higher vibration which will allow you to attract that very thing that you want to bring into your life. You are the sum of the five people around you. Also being hugged in nature, in a remote location that has not been contaminated with the hustle and bustle of modern culture. You utilize the five great elements of nature that create life and are the very foundation of our existence, what is also known as the Mahābhūta in yoga science. The fire element that comes from the shining Sun. The Earth element as you step your bare feet in the sand. The element of water  as you swim/snorkel/dive in the clear crisp water of the ocean. The element of air as you practice yoga outside and the ocean breeze flows into your lungs. The element of ether as you hold space to nurture this new seed of intention that you are planting deep within your consciousness.

Will you be delivering the Manifest Your Dreams practices during E M B O D Y,  your new year luxury yoga retreat in Tulum?

Yes, I have diligently tailored the itinerary of the retreat to progressively advance the level of each practice to allow your body, mind and soul to prepare for the transformation. The invigorating master power yoga classes are designed to release old stagnant energy, decompress and destress. The restorative practices such as meditation, breathwork, soundbaths are designed to fill you up with new energy, new inspiration, new ideas and creative solutions. The Dharma talks are designed to educate your intellectual mind and strengthen your belief system to what is possible for you. When you practice in this deliberate way, every single day for seven days straight in a deeply inclusive environment, your magnetic energy becomes potent, and just like a magnet you attract all that which you desire.

Is there still room to join E M B O D Y?

Due to  the incredibly high demand that we have been receiving, we have great news to share! We added a few more rooms to our retreat, so you can secure your spot now. These rooms don't last for long as the new year is the most popular and high season in Tulum. So be sure to complete your registration as soon as possible!

When is the memoir coming out?

People have been asking me to write a memoir the moment I landed in the United States in 2006. Since I'm not a professional writer I hesitated for years as English is not even my first language. Students coming up to me after my yoga classes and retreats, asking me about my personal story, how I overcame such adversity and created these tequniques and practices. I felt a deep responsibility and urgency to share my story, as difficult as it is to be vulnerable and share the struggles I've been through, what keeps me going is helping others. It almost felt selfish to hide, the story needed to be shared with the world. The story evidently stopped being mine to keep private and belonged to people who desperately need to hear it.  That maybe someone would benefit and feel less alone in their own struggles. That if I can do it literally coming from under a rock, anyone can.  I decided to just start writing the book, with no plan and no publisher. I thought the biggest hurdle would be to actually complete the memoir first, and then figure out how to publish it later. So if you are in the book industry or know someone that is and can help this book be published, I would be deeply grateful if you could please send me an email at maha@yogimaha.com. There’s this deep knowingness inside of me that believes with the totality of my being that it would be beneficial to many people to read this memoir.
