You may have heard the chakras being referenced in a yoga class or in social media but not have a full understanding of what they are. Chakras are not the newest fad in the yoga world, but rather an ancient system for understanding your body's energy.
The chakras are: vortices of energy or, energy wheels, that are aligned vertically with the spinal energy cord. Each chakra governs an emotional state and an important developmental point within our life. Sometimes we feel stuck and struggle with basic financial necessities and security, which would be a first chakra imbalance, while other times we experience a disconnect in intimacy and romantic relationships which would be a second chakra imbalance. Once we have a better understanding of the chakras and how they influence us on a physical, emotional, and subtle energetic realm, we can begin to empower ourselves to shift our consciousness and evidently our lives toward an inspired way of being that is aligned with our highest purpose.
Taking an empowering approach to remove blockage and balance the chakras, we’ll move through a series of yogic healing techniques that are specifically sequenced around the chakra system. These techniques include:
Asana (yoga postures)
Chanting the bija mantras (sound vibrations)
Pranayama (breathing techniques)
The first section of the workshop will include a dharma talk (lecture and Q&A). Where we will explore the attributes of each of these seven energetic wheels from the root to the crown. Followed by a physical yoga practice where you will learn how to cultivate balance throughout these chakras in our daily lives.
As you work through this workshop, you will: instigate healing and a change in perception to make way for discovering your true nature which is pure bliss, and will be equipped with lifelong tools and techniques that will align with your highest purpose in life, your Dharma.
